Arizona Reunion

My whole family was able to get together in Arizona this past weekend for Jeff and Jake's homecoming talks. They both recently returned from their missions and we are so glad to have them back. We enjoyed going for a short hike in Sedona and all the kids had a fun time playing in the river to cool off. It was fun to be able to see everyone and catch up. The girls stayed up as late as we would let them hanging out with their cousins (We had quite a recovery when we returned home). It never seems like there is enough time when we are with family.

The whole family - my there are a lot of us!

Samantha and Courtney with their cousins, Savannah and Xan.

Savannah, Katie, and Samantha with a crawfish they caught in the river.

Alyssa is not much of a picture taker so we had to snap a photo while she was too busy to run away from the camera.

Finally Blogging!

I have been looking at everyone's cute blogs for the past year plus and keep thinking I needed to get on the ban-wagon, but never could find the time to actually sit down and figure it out. Thanks to my good friend Holly who showed me the ropes of blogging while our husbands were off on High Adventure trip with the young men in our ward. So here I am ready to blog! Thanks Holly, I owe you!

School is Out!!!

We celebrated our first day of summer vacation by going to the zoo. We have been trying to get to the zoo since a few weeks ago when Grandma Rhonda was visiting, but Samantha was sick. I was anxious to go because it was going to be so hot and Lincoln was working, but it ended up being the perfect day. There were hardly any people there and the wind kept us cool along with a few brief sprinkles. The girls had so much fun. Our highlights were petting the sting rays and the birds. We skipped seeing the birds last time we were at the zoo. Boy we had no idea what we were missing. There were so many birds and the girls loved petting them. They landed on their arms and head. I think we were in the bird exhibit for almost 40 minutes! Who would of thought this would be the highlight of our day.
